And Justice For All

The Lady Justice has recently become the focus of my paintings thanks to Dear Husband's recent law career. I am continuing my foray into pop art representations of the Justice system and America as a whole. Further paintings will follow in this genre.

This particular piece has been donated to PILS (Public Interest Law Society) for their auction to raise funds so that law students can volunteer their time in community service avenues such as Legal Aid, and not starve for lack of a paycheck.

It is 36 x 24 acrylic on canvas. The scales were painted in gold not yellow, but the flash seemed to change that color as well as radiate a change slight change of color vibrancy.

This also happens to work for #49. Stripes for the 100 Theme challenge (see my journal for details on that) I'm participating in though it wasn't the reason I created it.
