Phi Alpha Delta

Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) is the law fraternity my husband belongs to (technically I do as well to the pre-law chapter though). They recently had a silent auction at their 56th Bienniel International Convention and my husband asked me to paint something for them as a donation. This was his idea for the piece, and my interpretation of his idea. Out of all the other art there my piece commanded the highest price! YAYY!!!! That is such a personal high for me. I don't like showing my art to the general populous afraid they will hate it, but the fact that this commanded the highest price is a reaffermation that maybe my stuff isn't so bad. One of the artists was someone I know who had put in three separate pieces and still mine did better... and since I admire her artwork its a real mind blower to me.

Anyway, it is acrylic on canvase with the logo printed out on regular paper and glued to the canvase then painted over, sort of like how Peter Max does his Lady Liberty Heads, which is actually the sort of feeling I was going for.
